Amy Benoit Harbert joined Design Workshop in 2014 as the Houston Office Director. She graduated from Louisiana State University in 2000 and has also worked as an instructor of landscape architecture at Texas Tech University. Amy’s professional interests are broad and include the design of parks and open spaces, recreational trails, facilitating strong community relationships with the outdoor environment, regional planning, and the detailed design work associated with corporate campuses and garden spaces. Her portfolio affirms her interests showcasing project design and implementation of college campus work, roof-top gardens, waterfront redevelopment, corridor redevelopment and numerous regional planning studies located in the . and internationally. Her portfolio of current work, located in Houston, includes projects such as corridor plans for the Westchase District, a bicycle and trails master plan for Generation Park and the creation of Houston’s first ever General Plan. Additionally she is involved in on-going community outreach and business development efforts and is an active member of the United States Green Building Council and the American Society of Landscape Architects.
