The veterinary assistant program is two quarters long. The course is designed to enable graduates to assist veterinary technicians in their duties. A certified veterinary assistant will learn how to effectively run the front office of a veterinary clinic or kennel. The Veterinary Assistant program is not required for the Veterinary Technician program, but is instead a stand-alone option to help students build this specific skill set. If you feel you are the kind of person who can make a career out of helping animals, becoming a veterinary assistant is a great place to start.
